Sewell plays a position they don't need, tackle. He also hasn't lit the league on fire yet.
It all comes down to what you think Chase is. If Chase is Julio / Hopkins good it's a fantastic pick. If he is merely a top 20 WR, it's bad.

Sewell would be a RT for them IF he played OT, and he was utterly terrible trying this week 1.
Dude how are you STILL getting this wrong. He played LT because their starter was hurt and played fairly well.

As others have mentioned, he didn't play RT in week 1. His PFF grade was 75.6, which was top 10 for LT. By what metric are you saying he was "terrible?"

Are we going to have to sit through LSU fans over analyzing the Bengals roster management for Burrows entire career?

I think it will end up being a mistake; should have taken Sewell.
Maybe the bengals are in win-now mode (which would make sense bc there are already articles about the HC being fired), but Detroit is obviously in a rebuild mode.
I think if Cincy had more of a "rebuild" mindset in the draft, then they would have gone with Sewell

Looking like a good decision today.

How much overanalyzing will be done today?

Obviously Chase is balling, but Jackson Carman started today at RG and played really well. Already looks like a clear upgrade over Sua Filo.
How Carman pans out is what will justify the Chase pick. I don’t think Bengals gave up a sack today.

The first time the Steelers haven't had a sack in 79 games I think.

It didn't help having Watt out.

Bengals should have done like the Jets did.
Take there first pick then trade back into the middle of first to get that OT from Northwestern. Bengals should have done that too
