In her prime, probably the most beautiful woman in the world. Still not too shabby at 87

Sophia ain’t flat. But Jayne Mansfield made her look like she was built like a board.

Is she scratching her patch in the first pic?

She was drop dead gorgeous. Classy.

One of my all-time favorites as a kid growing up and reaching puberty in the mid 60's.
Loved her in the movie "Houseboat" with Cary Grant. She had the classic "Hourglass" figure and an exotic, beautiful face to go with it.

She was 61 when they filmed Grumpier Old Men.

Two Italian men were fishing with a third friend reading a newspaper. The two fishermen began a debate about who would be the best woman with whom to spend the final night of their lives. The first said, "Gina Lollobrigida", and the second declared, "Sophia Loren".
Asked to break their stalemate, the third man replied, "No doubt about it - Virgina Pippalini!" to puzzled looks from the fishermen. Then he turned his newspaper to show them the headline - "Twenty-five Men Die Laying Virginia Pipeline".
(Better of course if told orally, with the headline written on paper)
I'd love to have taken her photos like this, but would not have her sitting on an ugly radiator. And don't crop the heels. Everything else about it is nice.

We watched that movie a couple of months ago - a really underrated movie:
