With all of our freshman WR showing out it looks like we will be set for 3-5 years. How many do we need to take this year to keep depth and talent? Just seems like we could use a few spots we normally spend on WR for other positions. Obviously if a top tier guy wants to come or you have a cant miss guy in state you take him, but no need to take a flyer on a guy right now. Maybe skip this class and only get 2 and then take 4-5 the following year.

If Shazz and/or Evan Stewart want in you take them no questions asked. With the 25 plus 7 spots thing they’re doing this year, we can and should address our OL issues through a plethora of transfers. The NCAA rule change is coming in at a perfect time for us. If we recruit the portal the right way, we can build a solid line in one offseason.

Wide receiver is the most important position on the team besides QB, now. Get four per year. Some of those WRs you think we can rely on will be playing for our competitors in a couple of years. Restock!

Crawford, Anderson, and Shazz and call it a day. And of course if Stewart wants in, add him too.

Anderson, Shazz, Crawford & Stewart would be a great WR class.

We probably take 4 total with the 32 limit this time around.

We will lose Kirklin for sure due to eligibility, but nobody else in the same bucket. HOWEVER, I doubt we see all the WRs return, inevitably 1 or 2 more will likely hit the portal with the emergence of the freshmen receivers. The way it's trending Jaray Jenkins is seeing a big time shove down the depth chart right now, he should be a graduate next year so he could transfer as a graduate which might be appealing to him if he cant get on the field much this year as the season goes on.

Have to monitor Devonta Lee, Trey Palmer and Alex Adams all too. If any of them see pretty minimal playing time due to the freshmen going forward it wouldnt surprise me to see 1 or 2 of them transfer either. If Lee and or Palmer see decreased playing time moving forward it should be writing on the wall for those guys in their third seasons here.

Not taking any players at a given position is how you get in a bind down the road.

3-4 receivers a year in an offense like ours that is WR-centric. You don’t want to be left in a lurch with not enough playmakers. The way we are pumping out receivers, they’re mostly going to only stay 3 years anyway.

Boutte will be a first rounder next year. Smith and Thomas drafted the year after that. Nabers, Bech, and Hilton could be top prospects too. Just haven't seen enough of them yet.

We need fewer WR’s than we need O lineman.

Four if you can get four you really want. Injuries, transfers, NFL, some who may not pan out. Too many things can happen to cause problems if you try to go light on a position. It's why we've been in a bind at linebacker for a couple of years.
