Assuming the plaintiff did not consent to what we witnessed on the video and testifies he was fearful of being seriously harmed (by multiple offenders and a potentially dangerous object), this is aggravated assault and battery. Whoever decided to release the video has an IQ of a ham sandwich.

ETA: to clarify I was referring to whomever at the school released the video, not the TD poster.

We haven't asked about any updates since yesterday afternoon and will leave it at rest for today. Wife joined Ruston Rants the other day and I have to say I'm a bit surprised by not only the amount of people but how their reactions are to all this. I'm not familiar enough with FB and didn't truly realize how crazy these women are. I'm not surprised people would be appalled by the accusations, but they are wanting everyone there to burn regardless of guilt. It was eye opening reading some of those posts.

My wife's friend and husband stated it was once a good page but outsiders have come in and are constantly stirring the pot. Basically La Tech people from out of state and former Tech people who have since left Ruston. They said when shtf like tornado and Hurricane Laura or whatever those people disappear and the locals are a lot of help with things and information though.

That Butler guy is not doing anyone any favors and apparently he has been hated there for years in Ruston as he always stirs the pot and many think he lies quite often about his "sources" just to get people riled up.

I'm realizing I stated outsiders and technically wife joined as an outsider but she isn't posting at all there. I thought Ruston was a good bit smaller than it actually is, I knew land wise it was spread out, just surprised a town that size can have that many people on a page and it be that busy but apparently it's always busy.

I believe the poster below you stating sexual battery is more than likely what the child's parents are going to go after. Whoever is running CC PR campaign would be better turning it over to a ham sandwich, I agree.

I feel bad for the kid, the school, the teachers, the parents. The amount of pain and stress must be unreal.

That said, whoever is managing the reputation risk / public relations for the school need to be silent. They are doing more harm than good right now.

The school responses are just cringe worthy.

Does anyone know if the Spanish teacher who was always late for class and in who's classroom these assaults took place still has a job? What about the French teacher who saw the assault video with the Eifel tower as part of a project and said nothing, or the Principal? Or Basketball Coach? Every adult mentioned knew about or saw first hand what was happening and did nothing to stop it. There should also be criminal charges filed on those kids IMO..

I don't know why they would be fired immediately. All of this is just an accusation at the moment

They pretty much lay that out in the suit. There’s a distribution of child pornography charge in there. Because a couple of the students filmed it then showed it in class during a class presentation. And the teacher just ignored it.

You actually believe this?
Society is so stupid. 3/4 of the population just run with whatever stupid shite pops up on social media in front of them.

Cedar Creek prolly couldnt help but put out this statement after seeing what dumbasses like yall were actually running with against them

I heard a teacher at Cedar Creek was disciplined FOR reporting bullying by other students in the past. I know the kid. I love the kid. The school is lucky only insofar as the kid hasn’t committed suicide. I hope the perps learn to squeal like a pig in Angola. No number of millions of dollars will ever compensate a kid whose life has been so destructed. And to you sickos who debate about what statue can or can not get up a kids rectum, I might add that there were dozens of (alleged) penetration episodes, spanning the entire school year, so regardless of if the statue was inserted, that time, on the video, heads will (figuratively) roll for this one imagines/hopes.

If you had first hand knowledge of some of the things that have gone on there in the past you wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss things. I know and I’ve got friends who went there, sent kids there, played sports there, hell I’ve been on their field and in their gym more times than I can count.

Some of what people are saying is probably exaggerated (not talking about the lawsuit) but I can assure you some if not most of the bullying and harrassment stories are true to a degree

I do have first hand knowledge.
I dont deny that the bullying part is likely true and needs to be dealt with....although it was never a big issue when I was there.

But theres alot of this that people are running with that isnt true. Hell, half of it is pure common sense....

And I am talking about the lawsuit. Half that lawsuit is complete bullshite. Youre an idiot if you think they actually stuck that Eiffel Tower up the kids rectum and that there was a presentation on this featuring a video of the sexual assault.

I don't think it's unrealistic that a kid that age would be ashamed to tell anyone about that shite. We also don't know that he never tried to fight back.

Do you have kids at CC or something?

I think people may be assuming that rape means a decent-sized portion of the Eiffel Tower in the video was inserted into the victim. (Incidentally, the top of that tower is not 3” across—more like 1” as it appears in the photos.) Furthernore, I have seen photos of a different Eiffel Tower on the teacher’s desk, one that appears to be smaller and lighter in color. Also, the Complaint alleges instances of a water bottle being used on him.

Keep in mind that to meet the definition of rape, it need not be proven that the entire length of an object was inserted. Any unwanted penetration, no matter how minor, can be considered rape. If, for example, the smallest part of the water bottle was used and went in, that could be considered rape. An incident like that would not likely cause physical damage nor the need for medical treatment.

I feel dirty for even having to explain all that, but I think a lot of people here might be assuming that rape is the full, violent type of rape—not the type of rape in which only a small bit penetrates the victim, though both varieties are sickening.

Also, I am not saying that IS what happened—only that it COULD be what happened and might explain some of the perceived inconsistencies. I do not know any of the people involved, and I don’t know what happened, but I do know that the video released by the school does not necessarily mean the victim was not raped or sexually assaulted on other occasions.

I’m always going to be wait until everything comes out but it seems obvious there was bullying. Best case is horse play but that’s not how it’s gonna work out in court. Best case for CC in court is severe bullying, worst case IMO sexual assault with coverup. I don’t believe rape happened, and I pray that I’m right. CC obviously has some significant issues. They need to get it fixed and I hope for the best for that boy
