Wasn’t it the planes actual phone, so maybe satellite? Idk.
Todd Beamer and those passengers are heroes and true patriots. God bless them.
I wonder what happened in those last moments but I hope those terrorists were scared shitless and at least one got a face full of boiling water.

a sat phone on the backs of all airline seats back when-mostly for long domestic or international flights. It would be like grabbing your home phone from this time frame. He grabbed the phone and went into a pantry.
Not doubting but I wonder how he knew they were headed East if he was in a tall pantry with a door?
I think one of the hijackers probably had a suicide vestbomb on and he blew them up and they crashed?

The ensuing fight after "let's roll" took about 5 mins. They took care of any terrorists in the passenger compartment, then appear to have been trying to ram a food cart through the cockpit door at the time the terrorists crashed the plane.

Small comfort, but they died knowing they blew their assignment.
