I would be surprised if there is ever an outright ban because 15-20 years from now EVs will largely be seen as the best available on the market. Most new car buyers will be buying evs anyway by 2040 or so.

I don’t think so. Not really interested in a $10,000 battery replacement every 5 years or having to charge a vehicle. People here are on day 11 without power.

I'm sure the demand will be the greatest on the gulf coast, especially after a major storm hits.

Right, because the basic laws of electricity will change by then.
