Herein lies the issue I was getting at. He doesn't actually know anything about the offensive side of the ball so he just throws stuff at the wall with a surface-level hope that the pieces will fall together and we'll have a 2019-esque offense.

he came in and since day one wanted a wide open spread offense...that is what we have. You do realize we need the players to run the offense right? Also we had one game this year with a very inexperienced QB.

And by dumb luck Brady ended up being a savant and was able to unlock Burrow's potential.

And he trusted Brady's recommendation with this hire. The running game and blocking need to improve but I think that has as much to do with execution as anything. We have played 1 game

Why can Alabama do this with a new coordinator, half a new o line and a QB who has fewer starts than ours?

What about Texas, who started a true freshman QB last week?

Ohio State started a freshman

Notre Dame started a grad transfer who hadn't played since 2019

Stop making excuses. Well coached teams can execute. We are not well coached.

Lol. He's said he wants like 10 different offense since he was hired.

Except in 2017 when he wouldn’t let his offensive coordinator run a tempo, wide open, spread offense.

He’s the head coach and he’s been at LSU since 2017. Any lack of players is on him.

So now LSU’s hiring practices have gone from not interviewing candidates at all, to hiring people based solely on the recommendations of one person. Gotcha.
