not even that
somebody stated if he is 3-3 including loss at kentucky his arse is gone. that should do the trick. miles was fired at 2-2 after losing at AU.
3-3 after losing to kentucky? yep. that should work.
my guess was he finishes season. but who knows? it could all go to shite fast now and they dismiss him mid season.

Context matters

Man you’re desperate

So we have an AD spending money to pay the head coach market value after the best season in cfb history and to bring in one of the best defensive coordinators around after losing one of the same and we’ve got people bitching?
There’s no pleasing some of y’all
I haven’t seen it mentioned so I apologize if I’m repeating something already said but have you considered that paying good money for coaches also helps in recruiting future coaches? A schools reputation in this regard goes a long way in generating interest during searches. If guys know a school will pay aggressively you’re gonna see a ton of interest from good candidates

I don’t think they’ll wait to pull the trigger with Coach O. They fiddled around with Miles for too long and they know it.
The first SEC team besides Bama that makes LSU look as bad as Saturday night and he’s done by that Sunday.
JMO.

Defending Woodward for doing what should have been done and paying to show we are committed to the program.
Yep you busted me on that one.

Only interim I could see would be Ensminger.
I thought he completely retired, but apparently he's an 'analyst' now.
No, he didn't want the OC job, but he took that twice, too. Out of duty and loyalty to LSU.
He'd be a safe interim; I think he'd be respected, and I think he'd put in the time necessary to complete the season. And I don't think he harbors any hidden desire to keep the spot, so there'd be no behind-the-scenes stuff going on.
LSU would have to make it worth his while, but I suspect someone is already lining up the package for him.

YES… really no matter what his record is word on the street is that everyone in the top tier is just as pissed about his off field antics than his on field record…it’s getting unbearable for a major university to tolerate some of the under cover things that have been going on or has gone on.. time will tell.. when and if it makes national news then you will know…the buyout isn’t a problem..just relaying the message…

Probably between end of season and bowl game (if applicable).

No he won’t get near the full buyout. He will either be fired for cause or he will settle for a much much lower payoff.
I think the absolute latest it’ll happen is before the last game, but that doesn’t mean things aren’t already happening.

If we're 6-6 or worse?
How would he be fired before the season is over if we are 6-6 or worse?

This is the part that gets overlooked. And all credit goes to Orgeron.
Brady was instrumental obviously as was Burrow, but Orgeron handled every bump in the road and every bit of adversity masterfully.
He’s absolutely deserving of such a lofty ranking and such high regard.

If it goes sideways with L's to Miss State and Kentucky, yes. Likely by the end of the season. Buyout won't be an issue and will be negotiated down because Woodward can hold cause over Ed's head.

I hope he isn't fired before the season. That is how we ended up with Coach O.

who will be the interim?
we have nobody who can do that
If O can interim, ensminger can as well.

I don’t think he will be. I think Woodward wants to avoid the potential for any political bs that could start with that scenario
I think before last game.

I don't think record is going to be the only Factor whether its mid-season or at the end of the season. A lot of it will have to do with how the team performs, and how good other teams are ( or appear to be)
