If you or your sister can confirm i10 is open that would be great. I’m near her and want to come back in. Hesitant bc I’m 5 hours away and don’t want to drive just to get turned back

Waze says I could exit off I10 at 173. Wonder if that’s accurate?

I know this will be downvoted to hell and back, but understand I'm sitting on pins and needles right now too with family and friends that were impacted.
You guys need to let emergency services assess the damage, assess the roads, etc. before trying to head home. You're going to end up taking resources away from the people that stayed and need them right now, and there's also a risk that you'll get turned back.
Until at least the roads have been cleared, all you're doing is putting yourself in harm's way.
It's shitty to have to wait, but you really need to consider this and give it another day or two before trying to get back.
EDIT: I'm talking about the hard hit areas like Terrebonne, Lafourche, LaPlace, Grand Isle, etc., not areas like BR.
