Oh yeah, Aubie fans bring it for a day crowd, and can't wait for my first trip to Jordan-Hare at night.

If you see any of the guys from below we are in trouble. If I hear the same replay officals name I'm gonna puke.

From The Advocate in 2006...
The crew who called the LSU-Auburn game included referee Jeff Roberson, umpire Rick Lowe, linesman Gary Jayroe, line judge Mickey Haddock, field judge Dan Moore, side judge Matt Moore, back judge Mike New and replay official Bob Patrick.

actually, as i remember it, he did jump straight up. the AU guy fell to the ground under him.

I'm starting to believe that LSU fans are kind of biased toward LSU

The SEC home office should realize we will not put up with another stolen game quietly!

And they better flag Auburn for their cheap chop blocks this year--even if the chop-block happens right in front of the ref's nose.

No, you will whine, cry, bitch and moan!! To the point other fans laugh at you and your own fans get sick of it! Wait, that already happened.

Well, at least you're players are preparing to lose and have their excuses ready. I love it that you're own players are worried about it.

It's funny how that penalty had not been called prior to or after in college football, and the league office issued an apology for misinterpretation of the rule, yet you in your infinite wisdom can see the justice.

You are obviously an official of some sort who finds it necessary to defend any and all. Good for you.

I don't start threads about these incidents, but I have no issue with someone who is in the least bit curious about the officials in this series when the game is played at Auburn.

No one continuously bitches about the officiating at any other school that I am aware of. We went to Florida after that and may have been the victim of a call or two, but that had no effect on the outcome of the game and you will not hear anyone question the crew for any other SEC game.

We were flagged in Alabama last year something like 11-2, yet where is the bitching about that. You're not going to hear it.

It is a shame that officiating has to be an issue at all, but for this game there, it is a legitimate one. Since you are so involved in all things officiating, I'm sure you are aware that a retired official from the Big 10 of 28 years said after viewing the tape of that game, if there were any incident involving officials that required an investigation, this would be it.

There were a number of reasons LSU lost to Auburn on both occasions. The biggest one being that they are a talented, well coached, quality team, as is LSU. And this is all the more reason to have officials at the top of their game.

Al Ford is one name you DONT want to see. He has been involved with many a bad call in SEC play.

The refs are a lot to overcome when LSU plays at AU. There was plenty of blame in that game (04 and 06) to go around, though. Jimbo did not call his best of games.

I think think this year LSU will play vastly superior to AU and the ref handicap will not play as much a factor. LSU is the better team and will enjoy the competition.

you know what else i loved about the 2006 game...after the non pass int call on early, at least 1 auburn player removes his helmet on the field of play...then after the flag was picked up and waived off, at least 1 more player did the same thing....neither were seen by any ref

Roberson is no longer an SEC referee (no doubt in part to his performance in the '06 game). Matt Moore is now a referee (who did a terrible job in the Georgia-SC game last week).

It probably won't be Owens or Austin (since they did LSU's first two games).

That leaves Wagers, Ritter, Shaw, Curles, and Williamson (another new guy). Hopefully, it's Shaw.
