US Soccer Comms said THIS 2 days ago as a reply to someone asking about when the roster will drop.

Tuesday is coming a little too soon, Matty. There's going to be plenty of news this week, and the roster will be a part of it...

I wonder if they were alluding to this.

For anyone that hasn't watched Pepi play...

He's also playing in the MLS All-Star game tonight.

Ricardo Pepi chooses Mexico over the United States and will be a surprise in the call of Gerardo Martino

ESPN Mexico reporter is saying Pepi has chosen Mexico.

Good news regarding the validity of that tweet is that Pepi, and Araujo for that matter, can't be called up by Mexico for this window because both have to file a one-time switch since both have featured for the USYNT in an official competition.

So even if Pepi isn't called up tomorrow by us, we haven't lost the war yet (though it wouldn't be good).

[dual nat panic intensifies]

ETA: Mexican outlet mediotempo states he’s NOT playing for Mexico and a source close to the player confirms he is playing for the US.

All I know is if Gregg calls him in, he better fricking play him, even if it's just a 10 minute cameo in one of the three matches.

Last thing we need is another Ochoa situation where he gets called in, doesn't play, then gets pissy that he didn't play and Mexico swoops in with their fake "we care about you" act.

I'm still a little mad that we never cap-tied Musah in Nations League. Yeah, I know he is likely not going to bail on us for England, but that small shred of doubt is still there and I hate it.

Stu just mentioned on the broadcast they’ve confirmed he’s on our roster but he wouldn’t necessarily be cap tied due to his age. Did anyone catch that explanation?

It's that new rule that FIFA updated a year or two ago where if someone is capped in an official event under the age of 20, they can later file a switch if they aren't called up by their initial team for a certain amount of time.

Since he hasn't turned 21 yet, he can play up to 3 competitive matches without being locked into one team.

9 goals in 20 games (15 starts) this season. Tied for 7th in the league right now. I posted a highlight video up above. Became the youngest player to score a hat trick in MLS.
