Reports/studies are showing that the vaccine wanes at about 6 months. If you got the shot in Jan and then February or just one with JJ...shouldn't they require the vaccinated to show proof of booster or a negative test by October at the very least?

I just want to feel safe in the stadium.

I can see what you're saying but this sounded way better in your head. This policy was never about you feeling safe, it is about LSU absolving themselves of as much liability as possible while hoping to have a full stadium and cash in that $$$$.

All of the measures they are pushing are proving to not be very effective at all and are providing a false sense of security. They are going to get people killed by having fans in the stands. If the vaccinated really care about stopping the spread and saving lives, they would push to have no fans on the stands. It’s the only way to ensure complete safety for everyone!!! Come on vaccinated, just give up your freedom, it’s super easy!! Selfish bastards.

Just asking a logical question...if I need to a booster at 6 months for my safety, letting me in the stadium after said 6 months would not be safe.

No one said it no longer works, which it has.

Assuming you got the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, perhaps you should get the Booster shot then,

No, this isn't about fan safety. This is only about incentivizing people to get the shot across the state.

Maybe I should but my point was for the safety of the rest of the fans in the stadium...shouldn't it be required?

The “liability” excuse is absurd. There is no legal requirement to provide a covid free environment at a football game. There isn’t even a legal requirement to wear a mask. Every single person above the age of 12 has the option to get the vaccine and every person in general has the option to wear a mask.

Any time anyone needs to explain any irrational decision but can’t they just say “it’s about liability guys”

Booster shots every source I have read are not required except for people who are immune compromised. I read the Mayo, Johns Hopkins, Yale Medical school blogs and they are suggesting for people to wait for boosters (unless immune compromised) as it is helping your normal immune system strength relative to COVID-19.

So if your vaccinated and want to go to the game, go. If you are someone who lives by the principle of doing to others what you want done unto you, which you might be (I am giving you the benefit of the doubt), then you can get a COVID-19 test and clear your conscience that you do not have a break through case.

How many places have been sued because of Wuhan Flu? Also, there's this nice little disclaimer on the back of sports tickets

The 2 funerals 3 hours apart out in Acadiana for a 64 year old guy and his 39 year old daughter seemingly changed that families attitude about this virus

You are correct, but since there is no case law to base any kind of previous attempts at suing a school/corporation/etc. for negligence then they really have nothing to go by. Would your point stand up in court? Maybe. I tend to agree with you. But big businesses, and LSU football is one, don't tend to take chances with the law (unless your Les Miles and co.)

Disclaimers are scare tactics to make you think you are at fault. What you are saying is true and is why LSU has no basis to stand on for what could happen if an LSU football game is deemed a spreader event. Like my post above, I don't necessarily agree with their decision but I understand it from a operations stance in the avoidance of a PR and legal nightmare that may or may not ever happen. Who knows.

Just stating this was never about upholding the safety of the LSU fan. Its a cover you a** type thing.
