Can I borrow your Mercury Marauder?

I want to take a road trip in a cool car. I have looked around at exotic car rental websites and haven’t found the right fit.
My #1 choice would be a Mercury Marauder. I’m looking for a balance of muscle and spaciousness, so not really interested in doing a Corvette or similar traditional “sports car”.
Old Lincoln or Cadillac would be cool too.
Any advice on finding and renting something in a private deal would be appreciated.
Does anyone have a cool car you’d be willing to rent me for a week or two to drive about 5000 miles?

Probably will be cheaper to just buy a car then sell it, no bullshite.

Depends on the starting mileage, but yes, it could be. Especially if you buy it rural area then sell it at auction in a major city. Could make some dough.

What about taxes?
What about them? 5000 miles on a rental is gonna cost you a shitload on anything "cool"

For real. 5,000 mile rental on a classic/antique vehicle could be exorbitant.
If you play the tax game right (choose the right states to purchase and sell) you could mitigate that a bit as well.

You tried Turo?
Yeah, couldn’t find what I was looking for there and mileage limits are driving up the cost.

This was my original plan, but common sense reigned and it seems kind of a hassle just for a week’s worth of fun.
I think I would rather just suck it up and use my Camry and focus on the experience outside of the car itself.

Turo is just about the cheapest you can do it.
Unless you find some poor sucker to fool.

Better find someone with a marauder that already has a frick ton of miles if you’re putting that many on it.

I'm sure someone who has kept a rare car in great shape will be willing to let this guy drive it around the country for chicken feed.

I actually found one for sale in CA for about 10k with like 125,000 miles on it….came close to pulling the trigger on it, but I don’t have anywhere to put it and I also looked out in my backyard and noticed I didn’t own a boat yet either.

I have a 650hp full sized luxury vehicle that you may not rent. Hope that helps.
