GameStop is shite

Asking if I wanted a warranty on the disc because data can be corrupted whatever that means. They prey on kids to sell their game for $1.50 trying to get a $60 game. I’m in their system. They have all my info. frick them. No more.

I dont get the hate.
Every retail place offers warranties now, its how places like best buy make money these days.
I never buy new games, always used or after a price drop. If I trade that game in for $3, that's $3 off the next game. If im trading that game in it's because Im never playing it again, or it was free on ps plus so i have no need for the hard copy of the game anymore.
Here is an example, Black ops 4 is trading in for $5. It was recently free with ps plus. If you spent $29.99 on the game you are now getting $5 to throw down on another game while still having black ops 4 in your library.
Why the frick wouldnt you do this?
And i always hit up the b2g1 deals. Go buy two $30 games and get one $30 game free. Again, not sure why anyone would scoff at this and just pay $70 for a game that turns out to be shite, then just let that game collect dust and eventually get thrown out years later.
One of the games i got in my last run of b2g1 was ghost of tsushima. it's trading for $15 rt now. Watch dogs legion was another, $17 rt now.

Paying for a warranty on games is a total waste of money, but that's not why Game Stop sucks.

I had some frick stick at GameStop try to just add on the protection and he said "total cost of the game is $66.50". I asked why wasn't it the normal price. He acted shocked that I asked and tried to tell me it was extra taxes that my county was charging on video games. I already knew what he was doing so to make him really feel like an idiot, I asked him to give me the extra insurance on it. And magically there was no price increase. Then I "changed my mind" and said I didn't want it anymore. Well all of a sudden the price of the video game went back down to the normal price before that extra "tax" he told me about.
After I paid for the game I told him stop being a moron and trying to add extra insurance without telling anyone. He just put his head down and didn't say anything. I fricking love making dumbasses and liars squirm like that. There's no telling how many people he has screwed over by pulling that little stunt. Which is why he acted shocked when someone finally questioned him on it.
