I must have missed the huge protest of bar and restaurant owners and employees picketing City Hall. Anyone got a link to that?
Sadly, I've seen too many nod in agreement with their authoritarian overlords.

At the end of the clip, which aired last night on Laura Ingraham's show, Arroyo said that many restaurant owners declined to be filmed because they feared retribution from the Mayor.

NOLA restaurant owner (Katie's) praised the mandate one week on Fox local news and the next week went on Laura Ingraham show p*ssing and moaning about how he didn't want to enforce it, but his hands were tied.
Posters on the poli-board shared a link and busted him among others in a thread on this topic. I tread carefully on that board but to me this topic was worth the trip over there. Some of these restaurants appear to be angling for more federal relief dollars due to playing the effects of the Delta wave vax and masking mandates on their business both ways.

There was a small protest last summer. But none of the council actually goes to city hall anymore. They moved all the council meetings to zoom, and residents aren't allowed input on anything they do anymore. They just do whatever they want.

My source in the gov office (I say that seriously you can see some of the posts in “what will jbe say today” that were proven right for proof) have told me a very very high numbers of restaurant/bar owners have reached out to the gov office but they have basically said they won’t interfere. Which is idiotic IMO
