What do we bomb if taliban begin killing Americans?

IMHO - bombing the government buildings is of no use, unless for symbolism. Bombing their 23 hydroelectric and irrigation dams may have a significant affect - denying them electricity. Of course, bombing their troops, supplies etc- the typical response would have an effect, but they have never cared about their own troops anyways, so I don't see that as a solution.
Or is it possible we have already told them if they kill Americans they will go back to the stone-age? Which I really don't think they care whether they do or not.

If we still have the capability of tracking their leaders taking them out would be the only move.

When dealing with a regime that's trying to convince the public that America is evil, it's probably not a wise choice to bomb the infrastructure that said public relies on....

The United States military isn't suppose to be there, do you blame a country for killing invaders?

Your mighty military couldn't do that for 20 years out in the open mountains, now you think they are capable of doing that in an urban setting.

I am a proponent of "total war" moving further anytime military intervention is required.
Fire bomb the shite out of everything, air drop troops and hardware on one border, park the planes at the other border, troop sweep the whole damn country. Catch the planes home when you reach the other border....and don't stop to rebuild shite along the way.

At this point there's nothing to bomb. With the Taliban in control of all the major cities, they basically can use the Afghan people as shields. The US will not bomb a civilian population.
Rescue is about impossible because they are not in a central location. They are spread throughout the country.
So two options left. Political: Trade embargo. But will it work with China, Russia, Iran, Iraq, and several other countries who may not honor it. Or option two, which is more likely. Ransom: Cash loaded on planes.

On another note, the military did squat in 20 years when the Taliban were in the open mountains, let alone urban areas.

No, I am taking from the perspective that United States is already in violation of the agreement they constructed. Legally, the United States military shouldn't be there.
