Time to face the facts. Biden has been an abject failure from day. I mean he’s figuratively (and I’m sure literally) shite the bed. The border is in chaos, crime is skyrocketing, inflation is out of control, COVID is spreading like wildfire, and now today we have unfolding an unmitigated disaster in Afghanistan. So two questions:
1. Do you have any retort to say anything I’ve said is wrong?
2. How do you put a positive spin on literally anything Biden has done since taking the oath of office?

My dad who is ridiculously liberal thinks my assertion that Trump would have handled this better is absurd. There is no changing these people’s minds.

How would Trump have handled it better?
Trump had been dancing around this issue for 3 years when he left office. He had agreed to withdraw our remaining troops by June-ish of 2021 but discussions about the release of 5000 Taliban fighters was a sticking point.
Trump was still trying to manuver around to accomplish the withdrawal as late as September of this year - as a way to help secure his re-election.
it appears as though when it became evident that Trump couldn't finish the withdrawal before the election that he lost interest.
Until all the behind the scenes manuvering and deals are exposed it is premature to properly assess why and how the ending turned out the way it did.

‘Trumps fault’
We should have never been there, but this whole exit strategy is a waste of the 5k American lives lost…. If I was a gold star parent, I can’t even imagine what would be going on in my head and what actions I would take.
