Power outages in MI

About hour ago my nephews wife reported she has been without power for 10 hours, have bought generator for now. They leave near Ann Arbor. Then less than 10 minutes ago, my sister reports they are without power with return possible Sunday AM. She live in Midland >1hr away. Anyone have info as to way is going on?

Spoke with my son’s former coach this morning who recently moved to Michigan. He said there was a major storm up there and the school was closed today due to lack of power.

I live in a whiteburb outside of South Bend and we have had a string 4 or 5 severe storms with 60mph straight line winds over the last 5 days. It's reminiscent of cat 1 or 2 hurricane damage. Super broad area of just countless trees uprooted or snapped, lines down, etc. It took my wife about 45 minutes to get home yesterday due to every road between here and there blocked by limbs and trees. Its normally a 5 minute drive.
There are still thousands without power and they are they are quoting days in some areas to get it restored. Luckily ours was only out for 4 or 5 hours
yesterday.
