The chromesoft X LS is very clicky.
Maybe you or Bopper could help me understand the resonance of the sound a ball makes.
This one was so loud, my friend and I thought I had struck a buried rock or something on one shot, but it even clicked on a short pitch.
It may be too much golf ball for my swing speed anyway.
I went back to titleist tru feel in a matte red color.
Does the matte finish grab the green better theoretically?

Check out Mygolfspy. Matte finishes truly struggle with any dew or wet conditions.
Love the feel of Chromesoft. But I am seeing a perfomance difference with "clickier" balls. Irons are longer, spin is increased around the greens. TP5X is a rock but cant deny it performs well. Srixon Z star player who is thinking about XV. Pretty slow old guy swing speed around 95

Found a Chrome Soft X the other day and after chipping with it I thought it might be a defected or refurbished ball painted to look like a Chrome Soft; sounds absurdly clicky.
ProV1x, Z Star XV, and especially TP5x sound or feel clicky to a degree, but nothing like that ball.
If you want to feel the other end of the spectrum for fun, play a hole with an "X" series ball, then play the next with a Callaway Supersoft, it feels like a bouncy ball
