The $600 bucks is for the connector only, does not includes other needed materials like wire, breaker, conduit, electricians time, and pulling permits if necessary.
At my house just the wire will cost over $350 bucks, other material, labor, ang the $600.00 outlet and it is $2k easily.

You are getting a shitty deal. It cost me $700 total for the tesla wall charger, 240v outlet, and cable to be installed. If you have entergy, they are offering a rebate to cover half of that $600 cost for the wall charger. It charges my tesla at 55 miles per hour.
Also to those asking. Older teslas, pre 2018 get free charging at super charging stations. Newer ones pay like between $6-$10 to charge up. If you stay at a hotel or something like that, they are covering the cost of the charge in my experience
