As a dentist of 40 year I beg to differ. From my experience with injections, I feel needle phobia is the underlying driving force of vaccine avoidance. Much easier to spout off antivacs stuff you’ve heard than to admit to your family and friends you are afraid of a little needle.
For perspective, I don’t give a shite if you vaccinate or not.

You know what they say about assumptions. How do you explain my lack of fear of injections at the dentist?

Am I not getting the shot because of my involuntary needle phobia that has not made its self known to me?

I'm no dentist, but aren't most of your injections local anesthetics in the gums and mouth?

As someone who hates needles, I can see how those would be more horrific and far more scary than an injection in the arm.
