Some of us are apprehensive because LSU doesn't have the boosters that other schools do.

LSU has kept up for 20 years with everyone else

Not only have they gotten the best recruits, They have the highest paid coaches and best facilities and have rewritten the way to pay coaches not to coach

They have the disposable money to get whatever done they want

LSU benefits a lot from so much great in home talent close to home.

Some of those highest paid coaches really haven't produced roi in my opinion but that's another argument.

Saban invented the shadow staff, other schools invented or adapted to the spread offense - LSU I fear lacks the vision for adapting at whatever comes next we have a very complacent statewide attitude.

I wouldn't say we have the best facilities (maybe football yea for now) but baseball and basketball is a hard No.

If you're talking O in your coach assertion that was already mastered by Dabo who was a WR coach and then became a pseudo ceo. He benefited the most to having a DC who won't leave at all and is top 5 at his position. His offense also is a lot of former coaches he worked with that are very loyal and won't leave.

I personally don't see the CEO model working long term unless you have what Dabo has which is like super rare. Pittman, O, Cristobal it remains to be seen. Cristobal has so much money and an amazing NIL ready school behind him.

I do think LSU will pony up more than your ND, Michigan, Wisconsin, UCLA, etc because those schools are focused way too much on academics compared to sports where funds do. But your OSU, Clemson, UGA. Bama, Texas, A&M will easily outspend LSU in this NIL era and they have the businesses to support more athletes.

This NIL era is new it's not 20 yrs ago that's so short sighted thinking. It remains to be seen now if LSU can adapt and adjust.
