I never knew Metallica's "Sanatorium" as preformed by Limp Bizkit was political?

Political songs about an event:

Help Is On the Way - Rise Against

Believe - Yellowcard

We Made It Through That Water - Free Agents Brass Band

Angry anti-authoritarian rap/metal:

Bring the Noise - Anthrax and Public Enemy

Cult of Personality- Living Colour

My own version of a somewhat political song (about censorship):
So I Might See

I am a big fan of the mid-aughts era Drive By Truckers even though they have garbage lefty politics. Three loud guitars and great story telling

I don't either but it was the second loudest concert I saw behind Hot Tuna.

The politics of today have sorta ruined songs that I used to like.

I was listening to Sublime's "April 29, 1992 (Miami)" last summer and I wanted to just turn it off. It's a great song but the lyrics just annoy me now.

If anything, it’s more relevant today. Last summer’s BLM rioters were exactly like the folks talked about in the sublime song. The looting and destruction had nothing to do with George Floyd, just pure selfish opportunism.
