These kids never cease to amaze me with how good they are and how comfortable they are with the cameras on them.

I remember the first time that I got to play in the Shell Houston Open ProAm. I was so afraid of topping my first drive in front of people LOL..

And there are some sweet looking Hoofer carry bags out there as well.

Dunlap is having the best summer of anyone right now. He will be tough to beat. He probably won’t end up at Alabama like they keep saying.

This would be a good thread. Your first time, if there was one, of playing with a crowd. I Was a 9th grader teeing off in a tournament roughly 25 years ago. Might have gotten the ball 5 feet off the ground OB right. I somehow managed to bogey it - par 4.

1975 State championship at the old LSU course. Our team qualified even though I shot a 105. The 105 was the highest regional score so I was first up in front of 60-70 players and coaches. My brother who at the time was at LSU came and caddied the front nine before his classes. Wormed burned it toward the ditch crossing one and it jumped like a dog over it. Got a spattering of applause.

Unfortunately he didn't have his game today, but still a great showing.

Other kid was bombing drives 40 yards past him.

I guess distance is an advantage even for juniors.

Long course.
248 par 3.
600+ par 5
456 par 4.

The game has changed. I’m struggling from 6150. These kids are scoring at 7400 yards.

Dunlap is a member at the club I’m a member at. The kid is special. Hits it as far as a lot of tour players. He will win a major one day. Has the work ethic to go along with the skills.

My lack of talent coupled with my absent work ethic has my skill level at a mediocre to okay level.

Yep, it's unbelievable these days.

Kids have coaches, personal trainers, nutrition experts, etc...

My Company use to sponsor the AJGA Events for years, I've seen and played with some good kids like Spieth in thier events, but a high school kid now hitting a 230 5 iron is a different game.

Number 18 at our club is an uphill par 5 that plays 540 from the member tees… I’ve seen him hit a 9 iron in to it.

Dunlap played in a tour event as an am and lead in driving distance. Like I said earlier he is having an incredible summer.

I could hit 9iron into it as well.

As my third shot IF I hit a good drive and a decent 5 wood.

These guys are beyond good.
