Time to Tank?

It's all on our minds so what better way to pass the time?
1. No idea what we have at QB
2. Michael Thomas out indefinitely and no good candidates to take his spot
3. Onyematta suspended for 6 games
4. Marcus Williams wants to be the highest paid S in the league.
5. No idea what we have at LB beyond Davis
6. CB play is streaky at best
If now's not the time then what other unfortunate events would need to occur in order for the Saints to tank?
The one downside to tanking is that I wouldn't want to spend a top 10 pick on any of the QBs eligible in the upcoming draft and there aren't as many locks for a top 10 pick as there have been in recent years.
Regardless of what happens... it feels like another brown bag season.

Let me guess… to get Max Johnson?

What makes you say that? He's not draft eligible.
Is he even going to start this year?

But we have the best o-line in the league and two project DEs

This could be a double edged sword. Good enough to earn us a pick in the 15-20 range.

He's being a smart arse bc most posters on here only want LSU guys. He just failed to see you're a South Carolina fan

We won’t need to tank. The way this offseason is going we aren’t going to be very good

Reminds me of chatter before the 2017 season.
"Brees is done"
"All we have at RB is a shitty Mark Ingram and an old busted Adrian Peterson."
"Our number one WR is fricking Ted Ginn jr"
"Our defense looks like garbage. Maybe this CB we picked in the first round will be worth a shite"

Damn, it's gonna be a rough start to this season most likely.

I pointed this out in my OP

Derek stingley Jr
He seems like the safest pick to me thus far and someone that would start for NO week 1

He or kayvon thibodueax out of Oregon would be the safest picks

Probably so but I’m tired of NO drafting edge players

They’re both generational talents but if both was on the board I’d go stingley do to our most recent 1st round picks

What would make anyone think the players on the team give that much of a shite about next season to tank and underperform on purpose this season? A lot of them won't even be on the team next year.
The idea of tanking just never makes any real sense.
On another note, about the suggestion of "another brown bag season," just how many "brown bag seasons" have the Saints actually had in their history?
Since Jim Mora was hired in 1986, the Saints have won fewer than seven games only five times. Three of those were Ditka and one was Katrina.
So outside of the ill-fated Mike Ditka years and the anomaly of the Katrina season, the notion that the Saints are a horrendously bad franchise is a myth, especially in the last almost 35 years.
Maybe we do break the brown bags out this year, but it's been quite some time since we needed them.

It won’t be tanking by choice, the blows keep piling up and it’s not looking like a good season. Without all the suspensions and injuries I had this teams floor at 10 wins
