I think I agree and Texas would have to get over themselves. Longhorn network needs to go!

The longhorn network doesn't seem to be an issue. Texas is looking at the deal because they'd make more money with the SEC than with the LHN. Meanwhile, ESPN which is losing money on the LHN would be most happy to ditch the LHN in order to have the longhorns in their coverage of the SEC.

As for the longhorn and sooner fans, I think the SEC schedule will give them a new level of respect and some humility (probably not enough though). Initially, they'll have so many tough games to prepare for that they're going to get popped by weaker teams they aren't getting up for. It's going to be a while before they get toughened up for the grind.

Frankly, I think rivalry with OU and UT are going to develop pretty quickly. We already some history with both. They're fans "holier than though" attitude is going to meet up with LSU's "we don't give a shite who you are" attitude and then it's game on.

It didn't take A&M and Mizzou that long to get adjusted. They'll get a huge boost in recruiting when they join the SEC and I think they'll get better immediately. Also SEC teams wont be as familiar with them as they are with each other.
