Delta is good at getting in, making a bunch of virus, and spewing those out. Plus, it does it faster.
Pretty obvious reason for the spike.
Luckily between the vaccines and delta at least not being more dangerous (if not less dangerous but the data isn't there to completely support that yet to my understanding)...
We're not seeing near the hospitalizations and deaths as previous surges.

Louisiana covid hospitalizations have gone from mid 200’s to mid 700’s in the span of a few weeks. My thought is this should level off fairly quickly though?
