New toy for the precision shooters

I have had a Benchsource annealer for a couple of years now and it’s worked pretty good but I’ve always wanted to get my speed ES down to single digits consistently.
I’ve tried just about everything. A couple of weeks ago I finally bit the bullet and decided to try the AMP (annealing made perfect) machine.
Everything I’ve read says that it is the best for getting your annealing perfect. After trying it out, I’m afraid I have to agree. Daughter and I went out on Sunday afternoon to shoot a few rounds I had loaded. The best 5 shot group I’d ever gotten out of my gun using the benchsource was around 15. That gave me a single S/D but I knew I could be better.
Warmed up the gun (6.5 cm I built) and put 5 through it:
2757
2763
2764
2762
2764
ES of 7
s/d of 3
Let my daughter shoot it some and the numbers were almost exactly the same and the same ES.
Gotta get back out to a match here soon and see how it goes.
Also have a Benchsource to sell.

I bought a AMP annealer for annealing brass.

What’s the cost? I’ve seen a video or two about it. Never looked up the cost.

AMP is such a game changer for precision accuracy. It’s all about consistency and repeatability. The more factors you can control, the greater the odds of shooting a 1-hole group and/or 0 ES / SD
Let us know when you splurge and buy the A&D FX-120i and auto trickler 3 with area 419 mods

How much?
I need a boat though. Im tempted to just sell all my reloading stuff and shoot factory ammo.
That AMP is real nice though. The tech just makes sense. Ive seen some how to on how to make one, but not sure of I want to try my luck.

I’ll probably ask around $450-475 with torch nozzles.

The best long range shooter i know uses a Forster co-ax and a flame annealer. Shawn Broussard shot a 200-22x. Watched him sling 15 straight into the x a few weeks ago like the target was 100yds away. Talking to him after he said he doesn’t even look at ES or SD any more. It was a very interesting conversation.

If a factory actually loaded those rounds, then you've got to tell what brand it is. But I assume those are hand loads to get that kind of velocity consistency, no?

Yes those are hand loads.

I’m a member but no I don’t shoot F-class. Will probably shoot a tactical 600yd match in the coming months.

My buddy got a rifle built by Shawn that we took to Palo Alto last weekend for the first time. I can confirm Shawn is a pretty good gunsmith.

Very familiar with his builds

Shawn is a fantastic rifle builder and shooter.
And yes, the amp is quite nice with the Aztec program. You will get very consistent results with it.
