Is he coming back next year?
Posted on 7/10/21 at 10:42 am to Tiger fan999
No, he’s transferring to A&M

No. This is a question that’s stupid to ask a day before the biggest determining factor in his return, so I gave it a similarly stupid answer.

That makes much more sense

I like our chances to keep Dugas and Fontenot. They're not going to get taken high enough to make them pass up the opportunity to be legendary Tigers.

I know Coach J mentioned Dugas and Fontenot as players he'd like to have back, and his pitch for getting guys to come to college as opposed to the minors is really good, especially with how next year's roster is shaping up. So I like our chances too.

Not everyone is a baseball nerd J@ck@
If it’s stupid to you why respond at all?

Dugas is more likely to stay than Fontenot at this point

I would hope they could make more with NIL than in the minors.

Maybe so, but it's all about leverage. Fontenot will have no leverage if he comes back and gets drafted in 2022. I'm not sure about Dugas, because if everyone gets a covid year, I guess he would still have leverage next year.
Look at Cole Freeman. He got drafted around the 18th round after his junior year. He came back to LSU for his senior year and got drafted around the 4th round. He signed for much less one year later even though he got drafted much higher. He had no leverage.

And he got to play for a title in omaha and had another year in college with his boys. Ask him if he regrets coming back

Project is similar to Simon Cowell. He keeps it real like it or not.
