God bless her 12 year old son. frick their local DA. The guys a prick. There is no valid reason for an investigation. The perp is dead, have a celebration instead.

Yeah, I suppose you're right. Let me clarify. I am afraid of heights. If I were talked into going bungee jumping, I know ahead of time that I would absolutely hesitate and probably not even go through with it. As far as defending my family from an intruder, in my mind I feel as though I would not hesitate for one second. But yes, in the heat of the moment, who knows how I would react.

Heartwarming story. Crime thwarted, criminal dead, no trial, kid's mama safe, perp's two little boys don't have him for a role model. Only downside is the 2 surviving perps, and even so maybe now they'll find Jesus.

It appears there were accomplices. Not much info on them except this...

quote:

Johnathon Barker of Clinton was arrested in connection with the break-in. He was charged with second-degree murder, principal to aggravated burglary and principal to aggravated kidnapping. Travis told the newspaper that while Barker isn’t directly accused of killing anyone, his participation in the burglary led to LeBlanc’s death.

Jennifer Bond of Ethel was charged with one count of accessory after the fact. She and Barker were booked into the parish prison. It wasn’t immediately clear if they had attorneys who could speak on their behalf.

Kid deserves a street named after him, mayor for a day, front row seats / locker room access to a tigers game, etc.
