A buddy and I are looking to play one of the two courses at Craft Farms in a few weeks. We looked at a few other courses but this seemed to be the nicest course and equal distance between where our families will be staying.

So now it's down to the Cotten Creek Course or Cypress Bend Course.

Any suggestions or experiences here? Thanks in advance!

Thanks Mingo... that much better?

I guess website design pushed me towards Craft Farms but totally open to suggestions.

Kiva is probably the best course in the area. The service from loading your cart until you leave is 1st class. They want you to come back.

GSGC is my 2nd favorite. It’s better than craft farms IMO. It’s a fun layout and drains like nobody’s business.

Peninsula is usually in great shape, but I didn’t care for the lay out, and have never had a good experience there.

We played kiva dunes last week and it was in great shape. Everything was top notch.

This is really accurate. Craft Farms is nice. I played both courses in back to back days and I can't tell you one hole from either course. The vibe I got going arou d was it waa a really nice Santa Maria. Didn't have nearly the character as Kiva and GSGC

I'm probably in the minority but I've never been as impressed by GSGC as others around here. I agree that Kiva is by far the best course in that area. I would say Peninsula and Craft Farms are both well conditioned courses with very meh layouts. I think GSGC is a more interesting layout but the conditions aren't always as nice as the other Peninsula or Craft Farms

I have talked to a few other people as well and I think I may just suck it up and make the drive to Kiva... While its only a few minutes for my buddy to get to its a little less than an hour from where I will be.

But sounds like it will be worth it.

Kiva is worth the drive imo. I also played Craft Farms which is nice but nothing like Kiva Dunes

Never been impressed with GSCC. Layout is fine but the conditions are always much less than Kiva or even the Craft Farms courses.

Kiva

I try to play Kiva at least once a year - it is the best course in that area IMHO. I love it in the spring and fall.

Call and ensure they have not recently punched or plan to punch on your day.

GSGC is the best value IMHO
People are very nice. Conditions were fantastic for me. Kiva is the place though.

We have a September trip coming up where we are playing GSGC on the Friday. 36 on Saturday with Kiva/Peninsula. 18 on Sunday at Soldiers. White cans will be destroyed

It's 13 miles and GSGC is actually in Gulf Shores.

Id play Kiva too, but it's a lot to ask for somebody to drive an hour each way and play a 4 to 5 hour round of golf while his wife and kids are on the other side of Gulf Shores. No reason to make shite up
