Tell me more about Estes Park. I'm planning on visiting up there in the near future, and I've never been.

I'm going with mountains since I ride a motorcycle and just about all my long road trips involve heading to one of 3 mountain ranges to ride in----The Ozarks, Rockies or Smoky Mountains with my favorite being the Rockies.

Besides, I prefer cooler weather for the most part and beaches are normally associated with warmer climate zones.

I’m retiring to StAugustine Beach in a few more years. I already own the house. My plan is to spend 2;3 of the year at the beach and travel the rest pulling an Airstream. I will plan my travels to find cool temperatures during the miserable summer months.

My plan is to do both.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen. German Alps. If I could make a living there I'd move tomorrow.

Estes Park isnt Eden. It floods up there and can get isolated in winter. They’ve had some bad flooding. All places have their pros/cons but a beach town would suit me for year round livability.

Mountain town and not close as long as I can ski/snowboard every day during the winters. There's always mountain biking to do in the summer. I'd love to retire to somewhere like Revelstoke.
