We have a camp that is fairly heavily wooded, so the wood decks get slimey and slippery. It's a never ending battle of power washing, chemicals, jomax, etc...

Do you have any suggestions for combating green stuff? I know there is no permanent solution but something that is more effective?

Bleach and water or some pool shock and water in a sprayer.

Chainsaw to cut back some of the trees to allow more sunlight to hit the deck. Other than that, keep doing what you've been doing.

Pressure wash, let dry, and then apply non skid textured paint.

I was going to suggest this, and I've done similar using porch and deck paint with playground sand mixed into it for a non-skid surface. That will not prevent growth of mold/mildew, but will help with the slippery surface a bit.

Wet and Forget. It takes a couple of weeks to work, but does the job.

I would try putting some sandpaper down or something with some abrasion

They do make adhesive strips you can put down on steps that are painted to help with better footing, especially when using enamel paints that are slick as snot when wet.

However, they are not cheap to buy and if you have a lot of steps it can cost a good bit to apply them. But that is a better alternative to a lawsuit if someone slips and falls, hurting themselves.
