He’s a program builder, great talent evaluator, and competed well in a solid baseball conference. Also, he’s been to the big dance, but can’t close the deal with the hot. At LSU he will, book it!

Maybe. Not exactly the "splash" hire everyone was pining for. He's been to Omaha twice in 6 years. He could be damn good here. Or he could be a Serrano-type dud of a hire. I'm not gonna write him off before he coaches a single game here.

Vitello was my choice, McDonnells' wife I heard hates B.R. loves Oxford so that wasn't happening, the Bianco situation was never going to happen no matter what people say. I understand Godwin bombed on his interview... The O'Conner deal was he told Paul he loved where he was in Virginia. The Corbin pipe dream was a wet dream as he's not going to leave Vandy.
Give Johnson a shot I understand his players love playing for him and that alone says a lot.
