Politicians lie. How would you know what he really believes?

We project what we want to believe on these people

His actions say more about what he believes than anything else...

True, but again, in the past the "good" side of the lie was public. 30 years ago, it was better, politically, to say you didn't agree with abortion, even for democrats.

Now, it's politically problematic to say you are pro-life. That's the shift the church is trying to navigate.

The morally correct choice was the default, regardless of whether or not the person believed it. Now the morally correct choice is hidden, so politicians who are scared to say what they believe, are, in fact, leading people to sin instead of away from it, even dishonestly.

It's the same thing asked of say a Married couple where the people disagree on Abortion, maybe the Husband is Pro Choice and the Wife is Pro Life, Catholic Doctrine would ask the Husband to teach his children to seek heaven, even if that means being lighter in his opinion of abortion, or finding a lesser way to answer the question if asked. Not to lie, for sure, but to be clear about it like "I believe in the choice, but it can represent a morally wrong choice."

Biden is responsible for doing the same, but he is FAR away from that.

If Biden really is Pro-Life, then he needs to come out and say it, at the very least. I'm not asking that he pass anything that blocks abortion (although I wish he would), I'm asking that he stand up for what he believes in. He'd be a much better Catholic if he did. But he won't because it's politically problematic for him.
