Tell me about your history studying immunology. I'd like to avoid that school.
You are not rebreathing filth. You expel only what you are already colonized by and rebreathing any of that us not going to worsen any situation as you suggest. Breathing is not a mechanism for sterilizing the airways.

Where did you study, since you claimed it.

SIAP-

Women who are insecure about their facial features LOVE the mask and do not want to give it up.

The mask is a very effective beauty equalizer.

Exactly. They re-mask with a brand new sterile mask each procedure. And they only wear the mask when the skin is open. And the mask isn't to protect them from any disease the patient has. It is to keep common germs that are everywhere in nature from getting under the skin and into the bloodstream, bypassing a body's natural immune process.

Surgeons wear gloves and a gown and a hairnet too, and booties. If the Covidians are going to use the surgeon logic to defend masks, they also need to do all of the above to avoid being hypocrits.

Because of contaminants from the previous surgical field and their own bacteria that could infect the next patient. But that won't infect the surgeon. You aren't going to reinfect yourself while wearing a mask. There is no issue wearing a mask for a healthy adult or child.

I kind of enjoy the muzzles being worn by the incredibly stupid and gullible.

If true, I expect you to forever wear a mask. After all - no harm in it.

Where do you come up with this bullshite? You clearly have no medical background.

Please elaborate. Things go airborne at times in surgery. That can't be carried into the next case. The surgeon's bacteria on the inside of his mask cannot infect the surgeon because he is already colonized by it.

I don't like to rebreathe my own filth, so I don't.

Masks filter. If I happen to breathe in a small bacterial load (say 1000) from someone next to me, and then expel it into my mask/filter, it doesn't just sit there until I throw the mask away in four hours. It doubles every 12 minutes.

After four hours, those thousand bacteria are now one billion bacteria, and I'm sucking them right back into my lungs - i.e. rebreathing my own filth. You too, ChaCha

You're already colonized with it by that point. Where the hell did you "study" immunology?

it doesn't read well.

it's possible for people to pass bacteria to others.

No, basic immunology should have taught you that when you are exposed to a small bacterial load, your immune system (Ts, Bs and their antibodies, Macrophages, Monocytes, etc) goes to work to reduce the number from 1000 to 0. Sometimes the immune system wins, sometimes bacterial infection wins.

Wearing a mask guarantees you expel bacteria, some of which are already endemic to you, and some of which come from others - you know, the whole pandemic thing, your religion. You expel the bacteria into a mask, it doubles every 12 minutes, and you suck that much larger load right back down your throat, making your immune system work more.

You suggested they couldn't. You did. You're just not very bright. Continue masking up forever. Have Mommy mask up when she brings your fruit newtons and strawberry milk down to the basement. And your stimmy gimme.

This is like a really bad sci-fi script from 1993 that has no basis in reality, but the writers just need the audience to suspend disbelief for this one little matter in order to make the rest of the script believable.

You, sir, are a hack.

That is a dumb post. You are already infected once you breath it in. It begins reproducing. That is when your immune system kicks in. The amount in the mask has little to no impact at that point.

At no point did I suggest people can't infect others with bacteria. At no point have I received a stimulus check. None.

It does in orthopedic surgery and at times in trauma surgery.

In those types of surgeries where splatters are expected, they use face shields. The mask is worthless in those situations.

Masks caked in body fluids are not effective.

You have backed yourself into a corner now.

Flew Southwest this past weekend at the flight attendants were on a mask wearing power trip. Basically telling everyone that you must put it on between bites/sips.

American Airlines the same thing. We had flight attendant just sit and watch our area. Holding off flying again until the stop that BS.
