1- you dont know what i am paying for new truck, i hadnt even mentioned that. But im getting a good deal with my buddies discounts
2- anytime you get a new truck, you understand you are getting something that is overpriced and depreciates with value
3-if i was worried about equity, i wouldnt be getting a new truck. I literally buy a new truck every 2-3 years. I like having new vehicles.

You left out one variable from the equation.
I know what you paid for it new. I know what you owe. I know the progress you made on principle in three years.
You told us your new payment amount in relation to your old as well as what you're financing.
So 45k financed. Plus 25k equity.
70k OTD....
