Lol, those numbers are based off of the bulbs only being used just a few hours a day. Of course most people blow straight through the hours leading to the bulbs not making it to 22 years, let alone 9.

They don't last 2 years in lights that we rarely use.

We still have incandescent bulbs in our closets from the 1960’s! The light quality is nigh-orgasmic
