It started because 75 armed blacks went to the courthouse due to a rumor a black teen was going to be lynched. In the resulting confrontation 10 whites and 2 blacks were killed.

Do they think it’s somehow to our advantage to have an uneducated, poor population? I know the Democrats want them poor and uneducated to continue to get their votes, but why would normal Americans want this?
A safe, educated and prosperous black community is good for all Americans, except the Democrats.

Actually it started by a black man being arrested for assaulting a young white girl and a group of white men wanted him lynched. Group of armed black men arrived outside jail to protect him, cops tried to disperse the crowds, violence erupted. People got killed, it sparked city wide riots.
Had both sides let the justice system work as intended, nothing would have happened.
Seems not much has changed at all

I've read up on this story for years unlike many in this thread who are prob. just hearing about this now. Had the AA residents not have guns, the massacre would've been worse.
Columbia (TN) is site of a similar story except the gov't didn't do the bidding of racists in this case. Thurgood Marshall was there for the experience as well.

If 75 of them hadn't shown up armed at the courthouse and killed 10 white folks it never would have happened.
And nothing from Vox, your video producer, is unbiased. They are so far left it's a waste of time to watch.
Was it right what happened? Hell no. But it did not start without a pretty large push from the black community with the dead whites at the courthouse.
Like I said earlier. As far as I'm concerned the Dems are pushing for a repeat with their continual race baiting.
