Dude made almost $3M in the NBA, and he's pulling this stuff?

Damn this absolutely sucks.. always liked Blakeney and thought he was on two teams that gave up but he never did.

Affidavit is racist

Didn't some NFL guys do this recently?

What a bummer. I bet he's blown his NBA money. Probably not a chance he'll go back for his degree...
Posted on 5/24/21 at 9:50 am to 76bmrlsu
Would have never expected that from him

Just put his sorry arse in jail.

That sounds like a crackhead move if I'm being honest.

First offense and will likely plea down, get a misdemeanor theft/burglary, fine, and be on probation.
Depending on what amount involved was.

That’s not life changing money after you pay half in taxes, buy a house and a couple cars. He doesn’t have a lot left over and is probably still hanging out with the same crowds.
That’s what these kids will never understand. There is such a small chance that you make it to the league and even if you do it doesn’t mean you are set up for life. You need other life skills and talents. That’s the purpose of the free education.

Man, that sucks. He is a very talented guy and always seemed like a good teammate/good dude.

That money can go just as quickly as it comes.

There is not enough money on the planet for some.
3 million invested, ten years ago, would take care of a family til death.
Investing it in expensive cars, drugs, and whores, not so much.
Hope he figures it out and changes crowds or he will be someone else's whore soon.

People who have been given everything they could imagine and piss it away deserve zero sympathy.

Similar situation.
Deandre Baker, CB out of Georgia, and first round pick for the Giants. Giants released him but the entire thing turned out to be an extortion scheme cooked up by the "victims".

Only if you manage it.
