That is absolutely life changing money. As a man his age, it’s not “never have to work again” money or “retire right now” money, but it is 100% life changing money.

That’s not life changing money after you pay half in taxes, buy a house and a couple cars. He doesn’t have a lot left over and is probably still hanging out with the same crowds.

Well, me with my little ole 50k teacher salary should would enjoy 3 million. I'd say it would be life changing considering that I would have to teach for 60 years to make what he made in 2-3 years of playing a game...

I just explained how it’s not.

If he made 3 million. That’s going to be probably 1.75 after taxes. Probably less after he pays agents, but let’s just pretend.

He buys a house 800k
He buys 2 cars 100k
He buys his mom a house 400k

He’s 25 and has 450k to live the rest of his life on with no life skills to earn a living because basketball isnt paying the bills anymore. And probably has a couple of kids as well.

It’s life changing money if you already have a career and some other way to earn money.

You can easily be broke in 5 years in his situation

Ok let me clarify.

He still needs life skills and an education so he can get a job and earn a living. If he does that and invests the money he made then it’s huge.

But he isn’t living the rest of his life or even 10 years on the money he made in the league.
