Not much to choose from.
I manage my Mother’s account.
I keep 5 years worth of her expenses in cash.
Seems like a lot of money to be sitting idle, but she will need that money in the next 5 years.
The younger folks, say less than 60, probably can assume more equity risk.
BDCs and preferred ETFs are possibilities.
