Sounded to me like he was insinuating that he would simply be involved with another show by a different name. Who knows as to potential time slot changes or what other CNN show/anchor it might also affect. Just my interpretation, of course.

The ratings are in the tank and CNN cannot fire their black anchor. They will give him a new show in a less prestigious time slot with less push for ratings and even fewer viewers. He will become even less relevant.
