I think what most fans do not understand is #18 tradition is for the TEAM, not fans not press etc. The team owns it and loves it. It will never go away....

Sure, I get that. But why would the team hold in high esteem a guy who leaves because of playing time?

But I'd say, not much thought went in to last years selection of #18

What's funny is you people actually believe this when its the exact opposite of the truth. Burrow turned down 18 so Ed gave it to Chaisson to try and recruit his former high school teammate... but yeah the team really loves it!
