I know next to nothing about this, but it looks super awesome.
I read in the comments that someone mentioned that they wanted other movies about the different Knights of the Round Table. Is that what this is about kinda?
Is the Green Knight one of the KOTRT?

Can't watch this trailer right now, but is this the Green Knight as in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight?

Man, I would love to see a run of legit Arthurian legends. None of the "modern retellings," but stuff faithful to the original source materials.
Or a good series based on the same. Starz tried with Camelot a few years ago but it sucked.

Sean Connery starred in a telling of this tale entitled Sword of the Valiant (1984). That was not a good movie. But worth checking out for anyone interested in the story.

No, he is not - and I don't want to spoil it if you are unfamiliar with the story.

I can't wait for them to a movie about the Knight who used to be a butcher "Sir Loin"
or the one who became a geometry teacher after leaving the knighthood "Sir Cumference"

The premise is good. I love Arthurian legends, and if I remember the basic story from high school, we know that Gawain has many battles/adventures on his journey, but they aren't really detailed, so that leaves some room for interpretation/creativity.
That being said, would England in the 400s/500s have anyone living there that wasn't pasty white? Especially a knight of the round table, and a relation to Arthur himself. I just don't see a Dev Patel type being what Gawain was imagined to be.

Dev Patel looks awesome in the role. And as always, A24 movies just seem enticing to watch.

Looks like kind of a Guillermo Del Toro take on the Green Knight story.
For wankers.
It looks boring, but then, I haven't liked any of the Green Knight things. I hated the one with Sean Connery.

I'm actually really shocked to see no signs of a "strong woman" character. It seems that every single movie nowadays has to have one. This is pretty brave of them.
I love the Arthurian legends so I'm all in on this one.
