Skip Laffy all together and eat at Spahrs on Hwy 90, get you a Bloody Mary to go, then go a little bit further down 90, get off on Hwy 24 and load up at Bougerious Meat Market in Thibodaux. They have everything you could possibly want from jerkey, boudin, hogs head cheese, etc. Turn around and head back to NOLA, save yourself about 5 hours.

Great jerky, but if you're comparing them to the meat markets in Acadiana..

It's worth a day trip, stop at RIP Van Winkle gardens and Tabasco on the way, hit up Bon Temps for lunch, check out Vermillionville, hit up a specialty meats place (they're all great).

Don’t tell anyone about Spahrs. It’s busy enough as it is.
