Any places yall can recommend? Haven't been in probably 20 years. We are going for in laws 50th anniversary and have reservations at Wolfgang Pucks Cut for one night. Any other places yall can recommend? Also any good bars that are must trys. Was looking at the Laundry Room. We are staying at the Venetian.

My question is do you have any desire to go somewhere off strip or is it on strip places only

We did a group meal at Bazaar Meats, and really enjoyed it. Not sure where it ranks in Vegas dining, but it's not far from the Venetian. We did one of the tasting menus that was around $150 per person(they had 2 or 3 different ones when we went) and had more food than we could eat. That didn't include drinks either.

We can go anywhere, if it is worth it

There is a steakhouse behind Palace Station called Herbs & Rye that is really good with great prices. They have a happy hour that lasts all day and it is solid.
You aren't too far from Giordano's which in my opinion is the best pizza not just in Las Vegas but in the entire country. If you like Chicago Style deep dish pizza this is your place.
For breakfast I recommend Hash House a Go Go. They have locations all over the city but their pancakes are excellent. Normally I'd recommend a breakfast buffet but they are all closed.
The only place I get Mexican food in Las Vegas is a place called Juan's Flaming Fajitas. But both of them are on the outskirts of the loop, one in Henderson and one in South Summerlin, so its a bit of a drive. They also require reservations and its impossible to get one these days. Nacho Daddy is good too but I am not sure if Nachos are your scene
If you like hole in the wall places then I'd check out Chicken Shack(for wings and chicken tenders) and Fat Boy(for burgers). Both of these places look like run down places in strip malls but they are excellent and local favorites. Fat Boy has giant burgers at low prices.
For ice cream there is a frozen custard place north of the Stratosphere called Love It that is good but it is cash only so keep that in mind.
I don't have any experience eating seafood here outside of the buffets.

It's a newer restaurant in the Bellagio call Noodles that is worth checking out.
Eataly is a cool Italian market at Park MGM
Tacos El Gordo and Tacos and Beer are two great places for a quick taco.

We tried to go there, but the line was a mile long. Someone said the line moves really quick, but we didn't stick around to find out. It was a Friday night though.

We told them it we were taking them to go and walked right in. We just ate them in the parking lot right next to the restaurant.

If you like dive bars, Stage Door is a cool place. Right behind The Flamingo. $1 beers all day.

It's also really expensive for tacos... that's why I don't go there or really go out for Mexican food, I'd rather just make it myself for those prices.
However I understand tourists do not have access to cooking facilities. But, there are better places to get Mexican food in the city without having to wait in long lines and pay ridiculous prices for a street taco

Lotus of Siam (off strip) is considered one of the best Thai restaurants in the country, if you like Thai food.
Bouchon in the Venetian is very good.

I would steer clear of any of the buffets, so overrated
Unless you have a deal you can't turn down I would not pay the buffet prices for two at any of them
We liked Giada's restaurant and you can dine at the bar area for lunch cheaper than normal dinner prices

An uncle used to live in LVCC, I would be in that E Sahara location almost daily. But, you gotta order from the Northern menu. Used to eat the buffet at Thai Spice back in the day too.
LV Thai food scene, much like the Lebanese scene,etc..has exploded in options the recent decades.

We really like Lavo at the Venetian. Specifically the meatball and just the overall vibe of the place. If not too hot, we always sit outside
Peppermill is a good 24-hr breakfast place...definitely not fancy
I also like Mon Ami Gabi (Paris) and STK (Cosmopolitan)
Can’t remember name of place, but bar on top of Mandalay Bay is pretty good and has awesome views

I didn't think the Bellagio one was that bad. We got some type of deal on it(forget the deets) so maybe that made it better. I don't remember being appalled at the price, and it definitely had a TON of options. Think it was like $20 per person and came with 2 beers or glasses of wine, or $10 more for mixed drinks. Something like that. Food was fine for a bunch of hungover dudes.

Before Covid, loved Caesar Bacchanal buffet, Studio B at M, Bellagio, Wynn, and Sterling Brunch at Bally on Sunday mornings.

Most of these are hole in the wall/local places. I’ve never lived in Vegas, but go ~5 times a year to eat and sports gamble.
Pizza: Marsiglianos Pizza and More. Run by a husband and wife, the wife went to Ehret. Pizza is delicious and the Lobster Bisque was awesome.
8125 W Sahara Ave #170, Las Vegas, NV 89117
Burger: Bar Code Burger. Any type of burger you want, fresh, and cooked how you order. (Rare/Med Rare for me.) They have a Sushi fries appetizer with Avocado, crab salad, and a sweet asian glaze. I will not go there and not get it, also their fries are perfect.
Mexican-Korean Fusion: Komex. My favorite restaurant in Vegas. Hole in the wall with 7/8 tables. Their bulgogi beef is fantastic. They let you put it on whatever you want. Tacos, burritos, fries, in flautas, cheeseteak, grilled cheese, etc. My favorite item is the fusion tostada, fried rice “tostada” piled with bulgogi, topped with pico and slaw and drizzled with Korean hot sauce. Always get Spam Musibi to go and keep it in my room fridge for late night or easy breakfast on the go.
Breakfast: Ellis Island. Everything thing is at minimum good (besides the chicken and waffles which were mediocre). I brought my friends here on a guys trip the first morning we were in town. We’ve been back every morning in the 7 days since(two different trips). It’s inexpensive, quick, they have their own beer for $3, and have a ny steak and eggs special daily with comes with two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and toast. Additionally the chicken fried steak is fantastic and their bacon is awesome, I order an extra side of it. We stay at Ballys because of proximity to the rest of the strip and because we can walk here for breakfast. They also have some of the best table rules you’ll find in Vegas.

I am with you on strip buffets, but off strip buffets like Studio B at the M and Feast at Red Rock, and the Silverton Friday Night Buffet(only place with all you can eat lobster outside of Sterling at Bally's on Sunday Mornings) are great values for the price you pay.
I think the ones on strip, especially the higher end ones, are too expensive. You could make a case for Aria and their all you can eat king crab on Fridays as they are the only ones that offer that. But Wicked Spoon, Bacchanal, etc. are not worth the additional $$$ you pay over a place like Studio B.

Was coming to post this.
It is spectacular. Not only is the best Thai I've ever had, it is some of the best food I've ever eaten.
