I've been impressed with what I've heard so far also. I really like this one in particular. When I first heard I thought it was pretty good, but have grown to like it a little more each time I hear it.

I really have to lurk this board more often, I was unaware there was new Van. I'm still finding new songs from the 60s/70s that I find myself replaying.
ETA: didn't seem worthy of a new thread but I came across the Stones doing a cover of Bob Wills is Still the King and it got me wondering whether Waylon and Van ever did a show together, or covered each others songs live. I can't seem to find much so I'm not to optimistic but I know Waylon covered basically everything, often not even country which is part of what makes it so great. anyone know any?

Just looked it up, liked it better than I thought I would. I like seeing artists cover songs like that that's from other genres.

He did some really good covers of non country songs. I really like his cover of Turn the page his voice gives it a feeling of loneliness that really fits the song.

I've been enjoying it plenty. It goes to show just how talented he is in order to still be putting out compelling music this late into his career.

Huge van fan here. Just got at dominics preview on vinyl and can’t stop jamming it. Have to check this new stuff out.

Was just listening to “Too Late to Stop Now” today. First time I’ve really listened to the song “St. Dominic’s Preview”. Gotta check out the whole album.
