Tried the F&D board with no luck. Anyone purchase sack oysters recently from anywhere in NOLA? I know this usually isn’t the best time for oysters but curious if anyone purchased any recently. TIA

I answered a similar question on this site 2 or 3 days ago.
Schaeffer's in Bucktown is where I usually get my mini-sacks and the last one I got had just over 100 oysters in it and cost right at $50 with tax when paying cash. They charge a bit more for debit card or credit card purchases.
ETA: Yeah you were the person I responded to. You posted a query on 5/6.

Michaels seafood in Jefferson usually has them.

I feel like this is a common theme here. Guy with a relatively low post count comes in asks a question and vanishes.

Castnet on Haynes or pearl in slidell. Both offer clean sacks for reasonable prices.

I hear this all the time. It's Hayne Blvd. not Haynes, but locals just don't seem to get it.
People wouldn't call Bourbon, Bourbons, but for some reason they call Hayne, Haynes.
