Do advancing countries have an ever worsening single motherhood problem?

I am starting to think that certain statistics can be reliably correlated with societal rot. This is the latest one I’ve come up with.

Last week the census report came out and it is a lights n’ sirens red alert emergency –America’s population grew at the smallest rate since the Great Depression. They have an entitlements problem, a no fault divorce system rigged for women problem, a refugee/economic third world migrant problem, and a war on drugs problem that together combine to create a single mothers problem.
Single mothers are the symptom of a larger issue.

Children coddled by their mother with no strong influence will grow up to be butt hurt, victims as adults. Children basically ignored by mothers who have to work too much to survive, will be raised by whatever is most convenient, which is usually running the streets.
